Introduction

Relationships are an essential part of life, but they can sometimes be challenging. To live in healthy and blessed relationships, we need to seek guidance from God and apply the principles of His Word. He teaches us to love, forgive, and cultivate unity with wisdom and patience.

Scripture of the Day 📖"And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." — Colossians 3:14

Step 1: Biblical Reflection

Read Colossians 3:12-14, where the Apostle Paul encourages us to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another in love.

  • Ask yourself: How can I show more love and patience in my relationships today?

Step 2: Relationship Journal

Grab a notebook or journal and answer the following questions:

  1. What do I most admire about the people I live with?

  2. What attitudes can I change to improve my relationships?

  3. Is there someone I need to forgive or ask for forgiveness?

Write everything down sincerely and pray over each point.

Step 3: Prayer of Surrender 🙏

Take a few minutes to pray to God, surrendering your relationships into His hands. Here’s an example prayer:

"Lord, thank You for the people You have placed in my life. Teach me to love as You have loved us, to forgive as You forgive me, and to act with patience and kindness. Strengthen my relationships and bring peace and unity where there is conflict. May Your wisdom always guide me. Amen."

Step 4: Practical Action

Choose a concrete action to apply today in an important relationship:

  • Send a message of gratitude or encouragement to a friend or family member.

  • Sincerely ask for forgiveness or release forgiveness to someone.

  • Dedicate special time to be present with someone you love, free from distractions.

Step 5: Weekly Reflection

At the end of the week, reflect:

  • How did this activity impact my relationships?

  • What did God teach me through this process?

  • How can I continue strengthening my relationships based on biblical principles?

Conclusion

When we surrender our relationships to God and strive to love as Christ taught us, we witness incredible transformations in our lives. May this devotional activity inspire you to strengthen bonds, forgive, and love genuinely.

What do you think you are doing? You believe God needs you to do His work? God will not use fallen man to do his work! Yes God used Paul to do a work, but is the one that stopped Paul in his tracks and God gave Paul his holy spirit, so it's God who did the work, and He equipped Paul to do what He sent him to do. What you're doing don't come close to what God is doing!
